Chip Repair & Resurfacing · SW Florida

Coastal-grade chip repair that holds in Florida humidity

Most chip repairs fail because they use the wrong filler or stop at the repair instead of refinishing the whole surface. We use a two-part epoxy filler that expands and contracts with the tub material in Florida heat and humidity — then we reglaze the full surface so there are no color-mismatch edges.

Whether your chip is from a dropped bottle, a corroded drain ring, or an impact during a move-in, we fix it right — once — and cover the entire surface with our coastal-grade urethane topcoat. No visible patches. No mismatched colors. No warranty on just the spot.

Types of chip damage we repair & reglaze

  • Small chips (quarter-size and smaller) in fiberglass & acrylic tubs
  • Large chips exposing the substrate or fiberglass mat
  • Enamel loss and crazing on cast iron porcelain
  • Rust spots around chips in cast iron tubs
  • Multiple chips on the same tub (one visit, one price)
  • Chips near drain flanges, overflow plates, and faucet holes

What’s included in every chip repair job

  • Surface cleaning and grease removal
  • Two-part epoxy filler — not DIY putty
  • Precision sanding to flush the repair
  • Bonding primer over the repaired area
  • Coastal-grade urethane topcoat over the full surface
  • Color match (white, bone, or your existing color)
  • Cure instructions & next-day use
  • Silver (3-year) or Gold (limited lifetime) transferable warranty on full surface

Full-surface approach: We always refinish the complete tub after chip repair. A spot repair alone looks patched within weeks. Our warranty covers the full finished surface — not just the chip.

Our 4-step chip repair & reglazing process

1

Assess & clean

We inspect every chip, clean the surface, and remove any rust or loose material before filling begins.

2

Fill & sand

Two-part epoxy filler is applied and shaped to the tub profile, then sanded flush — no ridges, no proud edges.

3

Prime & reglaze

Bonding primer locks in adhesion, then coastal-grade urethane topcoat is applied over the full surface for a seamless finish.

4

Cure & warranty

Ready to use the next morning. Silver or Gold warranty issued on the complete refinished surface.

"I had a big chip right in the middle of the tub — I'd been staring at it for two years. Bathtub Pros filled it, reglazed the whole thing, and I honestly cannot find where the chip was. That's the point. Marco Island condo looks new again."

Chip repair FAQs

Can you repair just the chip without refinishing the whole tub?

We can, but we don't recommend it. A spot repair always looks slightly different — different sheen, different color warmth — especially in sunlight. We refinish the full surface after every chip repair so the warranty covers everything and the finish is uniform.

How big a chip can you repair?

We've repaired chips from small enamel pits to large holes the size of a fist. Depth matters more than size — a chip that exposes the fiberglass mat or cast iron is structural and needs two-part epoxy filler, not surface compound. We assess every chip on arrival.

Does chip repair work on cast iron tubs?

Yes. Cast iron tubs lose porcelain enamel at chips, and if untreated, the exposed iron rusts. We remove the rust, apply two-part epoxy, sand flush, and reglaze the full surface with our coastal-grade coating. Many vintage cast iron tubs in Naples and Bonita Springs communities have been restored this way.

How long does the repaired surface last?

With normal care, a professionally refinished tub lasts 10–15 years. Avoid abrasive cleaners and standing water near the drain seal. Our Gold warranty covers the finish for the life of your ownership.

What's the difference between chip repair and refinishing?

Chip repair is the structural fix — filling and shaping. Refinishing (also called resurfacing or reglazing) is the topcoat. We always do both in the same visit. You can't get a permanent chip repair without refinishing — and you shouldn't want to.

Do you serve condo and HOA communities?

Yes — most of our chip repair jobs are in condo communities in Pelican Bay, Fiddler's Creek, and Cape Harbour. One crew, one visit, no mess to clean up, no HOA paperwork required for what's effectively a maintenance visit.
