Coastal-grade structural repair before refinishing or reglazing
Not every surface damage is cosmetic. Cracks in fiberglass or acrylic can flex and grow. Holes in cast iron can corrode. Surface delamination from a failed previous coating can spread. Before we reglaze or resurface any tub, we repair the substrate — properly — so the new coating bonds and lasts.
Our repair process uses marine-grade fiberglass filler and two-part epoxy chosen for Florida's coastal humidity. Most repairs are invisible under our topcoat. A Fort Myers condo unit built in 1978 with a hairline crack and peeling prior reglazing came out looking brand-new — no one could tell it was ever repaired.
Damage types we repair
- Hairline cracks in fiberglass & acrylic tubs
- Structural cracks through the tub wall
- Holes and punctures from impact or drain hardware
- Rust spots and corrosion in cast-iron porcelain
- Delamination and bubbling from failed prior coatings
- Spider cracks around drain flanges and overflow plates
- Chips and gouges (standard chip repair included in full refinishing)
What’s included in every repair job
